Hello Students!!!

We hope that your home schooling is going great so far and you have been able to use the art supplies that we sent home to you all.  Listed below are some websites and new art projects for you to explore.  We will be sending home packets with more supplies and we tried to include projects that might use items that you already have at home.  The projects will also include some art history and exploration of some master artists.  Please feel free to search more information about these artists and others that you find interesting.  It is always a good idea to have an adult preview the videos and images before student viewing.  Please send photos of finished projects and let us know what you have learned and created!!

Supply List:

1. Magazine

2. Glue

3. Mat Board

4. Scissors

Directions:

Choose an animal or object to make a collage in Derek Gores style. There is a link above that you can see more of Derek Gores style. We will include prom catalogs in your packet that can be picked up at school on Friday (4-16-20). If you have other magazines at home, feel free to use those as well. We will also supply mat board that you can create your collage on. Remember to use contrasting colors and textures in your piece.

Choose a word with great visual impact and use a font and shape to make the written word look like the object.  I have given you several examples above to help you

visualize the project.  Start with a light pencil sketch of the object and then try to be creative with a font to complement the object.  Add shading, color and texture to make the

object look 3-Dimensional.  I can't wait to see what you come up with.

Supply List:

1. Paper

2. Pencil

3. Sharpie

4. Colored Pencil or marker

Using pencil and shading, create a light bulb holding something unexpected.  Use the illustration board to draw on for this project.

Is the object inside too large to fit in the bulb?  Is it mashed up against the glass?  Is it trying to escape?  Try to tell a story with your art.
